sorry lemi11, you really don't know about autos either. It's made in Australia , Holden Division of GM. Plus Detroit was the start of muscle cars. Like I said G8 GXP 0-60 4.7 seconds

room for 5 under $40,000. Allot of you forget that gm is the largest seller in asian countries , so much for honda & toyota etc... Foreign customers want American, Americans want foreign. Gm is sneaky they keep the Divisions apart.

if i was thinking razor blade marketing, and was head of ExxonMobile, i would just buy GM and sell the cars to drive my fuel sales. seriously, if every auto dealership sold fuels, at a subsidized rate to their clients, most of the dealers would have a line of cars a mile long out front and happy customers in them even with the wait.

longer term, the joint venture could migrate to both better mileage systems and more GREEN fuel or energy solutions for the cars and trucks they sold.

that wouldn't require any government funds or bailouts.

Open-mouthed

Too bad the U.S. citizens/auto creators in Michigan can't trade the some MSN U.S. citizens/auto writers or some of the U.S. auto show judges for foreigners too!!!  And we with a $13 trillion bailout of the whole U.S.A. have to read this MSN garbage.

Reality check people. This problem should have been fixed the last time we had an energy crisis. Oh yeah that was the 70's, and Gerald Ford was president. Here we are almost 40 years later faced with the same problems on a greater scale. Lobbyist, greed, corruption, corporate irresponsibility, and social/moral decay. If greedy executives, and politicians wouldn't give up their kickbacks and payoffs to fix the problems then, why should anyone believe they would do so now. For example look at all the Republicans lined up to block every move that President Obama makes. It truly eludes me as to how politicians, auto industry officials, and lobbyist can fight to block the sale of cars using new diesel technology from being sold in the U.S. Ford and GM have been selling diesel burning cars in Europe for decades. Some of these are getting 70 or 80 mpg while their counterparts sold in the U.S. struggle to reach 30 or 35 mpg. These companies are playing the American consumers for fools. What person with all their mental faculties about them wouldn't want a car that could have 80 mpg. Why should we settle for less than this. How can we claim that America has the best of everything when we allow these scumbags to continue to cheat us out of our moneys worth on every purchase? Buy American? Only when their supply meets our demands and we Americans deserve much better than what we've been getting. It's revelation time and God has their **** in a sling. Let em' go BANKRUPT!
