The MSN  editors who selected these concept cars should stick to the news. Their selection of vehicles as the 'coolest' on display in New York was  an example of poor taste. I was struck by the arrogance of the editors in selecting in all but one instance foreign-manufactured vehicles to promote. I suggest your editors revisit the many concept cars manufactured by Detroit  that are both chic and well designed. It is no wonder the domestic auto makers are in such dire straits when one reads this type of review .

All I'm going to say is that writers of the article can you only promote foreign cars.  No, I don't work for any part of the American auto industry.  But I do believe we should be promoting American made goods.  I do not particularly like raw fish or rice.  Wake up writers!!!   Don't you think its about time we promoted American made goods?  Sad

It looks like Toyota will be installing an executive in NYC to head up US operations.  This would explain the media blitz.  Anyone with knowledge or experience in the manufacturing sector will understand that NYC is bringing in an industrial element which will radically change its current environment.   NYC should be very careful of what it wishes upon itself.

Look at the irony: Detroit is growing the business of film making and tour buses are planned to take sightseers to location shoots in metro Detroit, while NYC is hosting auto shows.  Perhaps NYC will become industrial and Detroit will become glamorous.  Wouldn't that be karma?

"Agree with Dennis V. totally." There wasn't a car in the whole bunch that could be put on the road up here in Northern Minnesota with -40 degree temps, frost heaves, pot holes etc.

They might work out for running around a Super Walmart parking lot if you don't have anything to buy and your real close to get home safe. If you want a good proven concept car go down to your local Ford or Chev dealer and safely drive on home!!!!!!!!!!!........

The Acura ZDX and the Hyundai Nuvis are nearly clones.  Corporate spying anyone?  For me these cars are not that thrilling.  A mix of ho-hum Hyundai sprinkled with same-old same-old 2 seater sports car and an unreliable VW.  Is this really the best of the best?

Sorry Dennis, but Detroit isnt exactly turning out excitement either.  Sugar coat the Chevy Volt, Malibu Hybrid, and Ford Focus all you want, nothing tastes sweet to me right now ~ not foreign and especially not domestic.  Ah well, always next year.   Little duct tape should get me through this year anyway. Sad

Maybe we should buy foreign software rather than Microsoft's. To feature 12 slides and show only one US vehicle questions what country Microsoft supports in our current difficult times. Shame on you!

Not one of these cars would survive northern Minnesota?  Did you not see the Legacy/outback?  It will dance circles around most cars and trucks in rugged terrain.  You probably have one of those 'out of a job yet?Keep buying foreign' stickers on your car.  I am from canada and drive a Subaru, it is much better on dirt roads, snowstorms and whatever is thrown at it then my F-150, Ford escape or any other so called 4x4

The reason the are promoting foreign cars cars is because they make a much better car.  Their cars are more eco-friendly, better gas mileage, better warranty, and the amount of vehicle you get for the price is way better.  If US automakers would lower their prices and add a better warranty maybe THEY would be leading the field in over all sales . Look at the yearly revenue and statistics show that over the past 5 years, Honda, Nissan have out sold Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge. US automakers don't have any cars geared towards the young generations.  The younger generations don't want a Mustang, Camaro, Charger. The Muscle Car ERA is dead. The younger crowd are look for what they call "RICE BURNERS". Want to sell US cars make a good looking car comparable to the Civic, Tiburon, 350Z,Lancer, Subaru WRX.
