The all-new Accord has just made its way onto show room floors, but Honda is already customizing the new coupe for SEMA. Making its world debut here in Las Vegas is the Honda Accord HF-S Concept, which is a coupe designed to offer a quiet ride during cruising but with extra performance available when needed.

An exhaust with a two-stage design helps make that possible along with using electronics to customize throttle response, suspension settings, steering boost and traction involvement to the driver’s taste.

Honda Access America, Inc., Honda’s U.S. accessory development team put this concept together to show how technology can allow owners to fine-tune performance while adding their own personal touch to the car.

Whether it’s an Accord, Civic, Del Sol or CRX, Hondas have long been a popular choice for tuners. The result would probably be no different if they decide to give the Accord Coupe HF-S Concept the green light.

    Honda Accord Coupe Upgrades Available

Shoppers of the new Accord Coupe now have the option of getting it tricked out without voiding their 3-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty. The catch is it has to be installed at the time of the vehicle purchase.

Called the Accord HFP (Honda Factory Performance) package, this add-on offers a number of performance and styling upgrades. The Sports Suspension package (available spring 2008) will lower the ride height by 25 mm, the wheels and tires are upgraded to 19-inchers with the optional 10-spoke alloy wheels designed for high-performance 245/40R-19 tires sold separately.

As for looks, the exterior will have a full aerodynamic body kit (front, sides and rear) and HFP emblems will grace the body and the interior as well. All of the components can be purchased separately with the exception of the suspension and the full HFP package will go on sale in the spring of 2008.
