Motoring Classic - Day 2
The day started out driving these beautiful cars on the Historic Columbia River Highway, which was built in the early 1900s. The road winds through the trees and alongside a number of pounding waterfalls. From there, the route took us up into the mountains towards Mount Hood and the famous Timberline Lodge (this is the lodge used in the filming of “The Shining.”) While there were a few mechanical gremlins, all the vehicles ultimately made it up the 6,000 feet to the lodge under their own power.
